This is only the beginning...

It's Been 1 Year, Baby!

Over the weekend, we celebrated our 1ST anniversary married.  After Tarbet got off work Saturday afternoon, we loaded up and went to Hagerman for the night.  This time of year there is no getting away for a few days.  Well lets face it, there really never is unless there is snow on the ground so we pretty much never take trips or go away for a night...so Hagerman was fantastic!  We had booked a suite at the Hagerman Valley Inn, which turned out to be super nice.  It was called the Sawtooth Suite and had log furnishings in the room which I love and it felt like home since our bedroom is log furniture my handy husband made for us.  It was decorated all up and had a big ol' jetted tub!

After checking in, we made our way over to a restaurant and had steak and BBQ ribs.  It was such a nice night so we went and packed up our suits and some towels so we could go out to Miracle Hot Springs.

While I was throwing some things in a bag, he totally
surprised me with a Jensen Jeweler's bag.  I knew exactly
what it was because he had talked about a band to go with
my wedding ring someday.  Plus, I'm not a fancy jewelry
girl so what else would he buy me there.  It was such an
awesome surprise and looks beautiful with my ring.  I really
didn't expect it and especially not on our 1st anniversary
(I thought I would really have to earn my keep, but turns out
I must be doing good so far :)).

We then went down and rented our own little hot tub room, snuck some brewskies in, and relaxed.

On Sunday, we drove up by the fish hatcheries and slowly worked our way into Twin.  We ate lunch at Cafe Rio then went to Home Depot.  He purchased the nicest weed wacker I've ever seen.  Ha-Ha!  We also went to Sportsman's to just look but of course came out of there with a canvas bag for our camp chef.  Next trip....hopefully camping!  I'm sure this doesn't sound like the most fun, romantic anniversary getaway to most, but WE had fun and it was to us, which is all that counts!  I'm looking forward to many, many more with him!

Weekend with the Family

This last weekend was great and we had so much fun!  Bryce, Ashley, & Liam drove down Friday afternoon to visit.  That night Tarbet and I, Lacey, Ashley and Bryce all went to the movie "The Hangover".  Wow...crazy and funny.  It has been forever since we have all been in the same place-same time to go do something together.

The next night, we bbq'd out at the farm with Mom, Ashley, Bryce, and Liam.  Once Tarbet got home from work, him and Bryce did the cooking.  Everything was so good!

They made cheesy dutch oven potatoes, steak, vegetables on the bbq, and mom brought cheesecake.  It was such a nice night so we sat outside the rest of it around the fire.  Lacey and Scotty were able to come out too after dinner.

I think everyone had a good time just relaxing and being in one place for more than just an hour or two. We were able to really play with Liam and he LOVED the fire, the grass, and being outside!

This is the happiest kid I've ever seen, which is good because I'm not wonderful with the crazy, screaming little ones.  He's always smiling and hanging out!

Had to feed the poor thing carrots
after he saw us eat a big steak.
             In time, little buddy!

On Sunday, Grandma Ginny made everyone dinner (to be exact, she named it Kenzey's dinner because it's delicious and I love it so much).  That woman can cook and I hope over the years I get half as good as her.
Liam with his great Grams
(By the way, it's still crazy to me that my sister has a baby! :)

All us kids went into her house and ate, laughed, and like always stories of all the CRAZY shit we did, usually involving grams car, when we were kids came up.  It's good to get together with the people who have been there throughout it all and know exactly how and what the other'n is thinking!  This weekend was nice because everyone is always in a hurry, Bryce and Ashley especially, must feel like they just run and run when they come down to visit since our family is, well, everywhere.
